Denette Flynn, Secretary

Employed at Roane State Community College as the Project Navigator for the Help to Opportunities Grant, Denette assists the non-traditional student beginning college or vocational school. Denette holds a Master’s degree in Education from Tusculum College. She has been at RSCC for over 22 years and a BCCH Board member since 2008.

Johnny Weston, Treasurer

A graduate of Maryville High School and Maryville College, Johnny is a long-time member of the Maryville/Alcoa Home Builders Association & the National Association of Realtors as well as former Association President. Johnny served on the BCCH Board previously from 1983 – 1992. Johnny has been married to Carol Bailey for over 30 years and has 4 children and three grandchildren.

Lynn Waters

A top producer in the production of real estate transactions, Lynn has been working at Realty Executives Associates for over 16 years. Lynn is a graduate of Leadership Blount and Everett High School and continues to serve Blount County through a variety of avenues. She serves as the president of the Knoxville Association of Realtors for Blount County, speaker on the Blount County Educational Advisory Council, and secretary/treasurer for the Alcoa Building Authority.

David Dwyer

An actor with over 100 movies to his credit, including “The Blind Side” with Sandra Bullock and numerous television shows spanning 20 years, David still calls Maryville home. He has many charitable interests, including teaching a children’s “art of acting” class. He is married with two children, Ethan and Nick.

  Robin McDaniel

An employee at American Patriot Bank since 2007, Robin was awarded the Community Service Award by the Blount County Chapter of the American Red Cross as a result of her work with the yolunbg men at the former Crossroads Facility. She was also an honoree for the 2010 YWCA Tribute to Women and has a column in the weekly Blount Today entitled “In the Kitchen” where she cooks or prepares a recipe, photographs it, and then publishes it.

 

 James Snyder

A graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1987, James clerked for the Honorable Joe Duncan, presiding judge of the TN Court of Criminal Appeals until he retired in 1990. He then joined the District Attorney General’s Office before beginning his private practice in 1996. James has a long-time association with BCCH and is married to his lovely wife, Christy.

Cheryl Shepherd

Originally from Brandon, Florida, Cheryl made her way to Blount County in 2010. As a customer relations coach for US Cellular, Cheryl has settled in nicely in TN, immediately falling in love with the seasons and mountains. While living in Tallahassee, FL, Cheryl served as a Florida State Legislature training manager for ten years.
